El ladrón II superó el original con nuevas habilidades como disparar botones usando flechas, invisibilidad, y configurar y desarmar trampas. Prácticamente cualquier cosa que pudieras hacer como ladrón en un RPG de papel y pluma que probablemente podrías hacer en Thief II.
