About XCOM Legends
XCOM Legends is set after the events of XCOM 2. The Resistance has defeated ADVENT and XCOM must now reclaim Earth from the chaos left in the wake of the war. The player takes the role of the Commander, who takes control of an experimental XCOM base called the Bastion and deploys squads of hero units in turn-based combat missions. The game employs a gacha mechanic to summon hero units from a salvaged alien archway as rematerialized portions of the psionic essence of XCOM soldiers captured by the archway. The player can spend resources to upgrade heroes and fuse duplicate heroes.
